Pete's college buddy "Uncle Scott" arrived last night on his motorcycle. He was greeted with screams of glee and lots of giggles and jumping. For the next 2 hours, Pete and I were non-existent. Uncle Scott was "da-man." They go crazy with him and he actually puts up with it. He does not have children of his own, nor is he married. Why? We don't know. It's one of the wonders of the world that mere mortals are not meant to understand.
At one point, he was pushing the boat around the yard with 3 girls in it. NOT an easy task, as boats really were meant to be ON WATER! But, there is this thing called PRETEND, so we just keep an extra rowboat around in the backyard. It serves many purposes: doll cradle, sandbox, car, bed, store, reading spot, Noah's ark, Jesus' boat, etc. Here it is actually being used as a plain ol' boat:
"More! More! Push us more!" (So far, so good. They could've said "please" but I'll overlook it considering the circumstances)
"Wow! That was fast! Just like being in a real boat!" (Good compliment! Way to encourage him, girls!)
"Just THINK how fast you could push us if you had muscles like DADDY!"
(Uhhhhhh......not exactly scorin' points.)
In fact, I would dare to reckon that your boat ride is pretty much O-V-E-R.

I can see how this would be endless fun!!!
