The three older girls are now officially American Heritage Girls. AHG is a Christian scouting organization for girls. They are LOVING their Troop Meetings, which take place twice a month. And, this weekend they have their first "social event" -- a Father/Daughter Dance!
Here is the Tenderheart Unit (ages 6-9, Erika and Dorothy Jo's unit) learning the flag ceremony:
The girls attended WEATHERFEST in downtown Seattle a few weeks ago to work on some of the requirements for their Meteorology Badge.
A visit to WEATHERFEST would just NOT be complete without the obligatory photo with the RAINDROP:
And, here they are after interviewing Rebecca Stevenson, chief meteorologist for KIRO TV ~
Aren't they so cute in full-uniform?
We also went on a trip to our local post office last week. The girls are working on their Stamp Collecting Badge and they wanted to see the inside of a post office.
The manager who took them around put them to work! Here they are sorting some of the catalogues:
We saw our mail carrier and the girls saw "our slot" where all of our mail gets sorted. Amazing how it all gets sorted and delivered!
